Jai Lava Kusa (2017)

Image
Movie: Jai Lava Kusa (2017) Genre: Action / Drama Runtime: 153 minutes Lava and Kusa will be separated during their childhood due to hatred of their triplet brother Jai. After 12 years Lava and Kusa are kidnapped by Jai and are forced to act like him. Why they are kidnapped and how the brothers will bond is the crux of the story. Even though Jai, Lava and Kusa look same, the characterizations are different and needless to say Jr. NTR portrayed them with perfection. Especially the stammering dialogues by Jai’s Character were major highlight and it overshadows the other characters. He was okay as lava and entertains as kusa, later has shades of chari character from the movie Adhurs. Minimal role for other characters including heroines Rasi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas. The basic story was good but screenplay and execution was not up to the mark. Director cum screenwriter Ravindra couldn’t utilize acting capabilities of Hero completely. He fails to establish strong em...

Movie: Anando Brahma (2017) Genre: Horror/Comedy Runtime: 123 minutes A NRI wants to sell his property back in India. Rumored as a ghost house, no one will be daring to buy it. To prove it wrong four innocent people who need money desperately will be ready for the challenge. Tapsee was good in her role but doesn’t have any significant role, her presence just given a star value for the movie. The four principle characters played by Srinivas reddy, Kishore, Ramesh and Shankar were apt to their roles. Each one will be having pitiable flashbacks and a weakness which turns as a strength when they face ghosts, this part was very well written by the director Mahi and it was major plus points for the film. Rajeev Kanakaala in a significant role impresses. Rest of the cast was overshadowed by the main lead. Direction and screenplay by Mahi K Raghav was good and sensible. The story narrated by him was simple yet effective. In the first fifteen minute’s narration was terrif...

Movie: LIE (Telugu - 2017) Genre: Drama / Thriller / Action Runtime: 145 minutes A. Satyam (Nithin) a small time thief gets involved in catching antagonist Padmanabha (Arjun) a noted criminal for whom Indian intelligence will be searching for 19 years. The entire story will be narrated by Indra (Prudhvi) and Narada (Brahmaji). Nithin makeover should be giving thumbs up. He’s energy levels and body language suited character very well. Mega Akash looks good but her character lacks clarity. The chemistry between the lead pair was awesome but it doesn’t sink with the story. Choosing Arjun in a negative role was a terrific idea and he did his job well. Limited role for rest of the cast and they were ok in their roles. Movie starts of very well by showing strength of villain but once heroine and hero characters gets introduced it looses its tempo.   As initially said Indra and Narada will be narrating the story and this aspect makes audience confuse. One will get a...

My View Movie: War for the Planet of the Apes – 3D (2017) Genre: Science-fiction / Action emotional drama Runtime: 140 minutes In a deadly conflict between humans and apes to determine the fate of their species, Caesar the ape leader will suffer unimaginable loss and overcomes them consequently and succeeds in ape’s wellbeing. This movie is sequel to Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014). From the beginning the ape leader character Caesar (played by Andy Serkis) was highlighted throughout and his mission to protect apes from human military group was as clear. Even though this character was designed with motion picture technology, Andy serkis showed his emotions effortlessly. Great characterizations were designed for all the apes and the feelings towards their community were showcased in brilliant manner. Woody Harrelson as The Colonel, given finest performance as obsessed military leader who wants to wipe out ape community...

My View - Ninnu Kori (2017)

My View Movie: Ninnu Kori (2017) Genre: Drama / Romance Runtime: 136 minutes Uma (Nani) struggling Phd student falls in love with Pallavi. Later their choices leads to break up and Pallavi marries an NRI Arun (Aadi). How Uma comes out of his love and gets another chance in his life is the story. Nani has given terrific performance; his acting was natural and fresh. He is one actor who fits into any role with ease and you see the character but not the actor. Nivetha Thomas in the role of Pallavi is adorable and suited well for the character. Her chemistry with Nani was excellent and her stunning performance should get noted. Aadi as Arun did good job but his characterization was slightly week when compared to the lead cast. In my opinion he is one of the most underrated actor who needs better roles. Murali sharma and Prudhvi entertains with good comic timing. Rest of the cast was apt for the story. It is a good sign that the debutant directors are choosing se...
