My View  Movie: Mahanati (2018) Genre: Biographical Period film Runtime: 2 hr 57 minutes This film was based on life story of south Indian superstar Savitri, that is viewed from Madhuravani (journalist) point of view.  Actress Savitri started her career at the age of 14. She achieved stardom after acting in Mayabazar (1957) and rest is history. She ruled telugu and tamil industry for more than a decade which made her first lady superstar in south. Her marriage with Gemini Ganesan was great initially and later ran into trouble due to personal differences. In her last days she was addicted to alcohol and also faced financial difficulties. Slowly her health started deteriorating and she went into diabetic coma later, she passed away in 1981. After 40 years someone from our telugu industry has guts to take a biopic on her life and should be appreciated for there brave attempt.
